Terms of Service
Last updated: 23 April 2026
1. Agreement
By creating an account, connecting a mailbox, or otherwise using InboxZero ("the Service") you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
InboxZero is a tool that reads from and writes to your own email accounts on Gmail or Microsoft 365, classifies messages with AI, and provides inbox, focus, task, and send workflows on top of them. The Service is in private beta and may change, break, or be withdrawn at any time.
3. Your account
- You must be 18 or over.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account.
- One person, one account. You may connect multiple mailboxes, but each account represents a single human.
4. Authorised use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to send unsolicited bulk email, spam, or any content that violates applicable anti-spam law (UK PECR, CAN-SPAM, etc.).
- Process mailboxes you do not own or have explicit permission to manage.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source of the Service except to the extent permitted by law.
- Scrape, automate, or abuse the Service at a rate that degrades operation for others.
- Upload malware, run phishing campaigns, or otherwise use the Service to harm third parties.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section without notice.
5. Your data, your ownership
You retain ownership of your email and any content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to operate the features you use (classify, summarise, search, send on your behalf, extract structured data). See the Privacy Policy for details.
6. AI output
AI-generated categories, summaries, and drafts are predictions, not facts. You are responsible for reviewing any AI-generated draft before it is sent, and for verifying any extracted data (invoice totals, due dates, etc.) before acting on it.
7. Availability and beta status
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis during beta. We do not guarantee uptime, data retention, or delivery. Scheduled maintenance and incidents will be posted to the status page (or notified by email) but are not guaranteed in advance.
8. Fees
The private beta is free. Once the Service enters general availability, pricing will be published and existing users will be given at least 30 days' notice before any charge.
9. Termination
- You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Profile. We will remove your data within 30 days.
- We may terminate or suspend your access if you materially breach these Terms, with reasonable notice where practical.
- Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, indemnity, limitation of liability, governing law) will survive.
10. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, InboxZero's total liability for any claim arising out of the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the preceding 12 months (which, during beta, is zero). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost business, lost emails, or damage arising from missed or misclassified messages.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify InboxZero against any claim arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your content and recipients' interaction with it.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
